Currently I'm tentatively hopeful for Monster Hunter: Rise because I've been really loving Monster Hunter: Generations Ultimate (as anyone on my switch friends list can see) but I've heard it's gonna have some things that I really was turned off by in Monster Hunter: World; like DPS checks against bosses and the boss having scaling HP based on the number of hunters.
I understand that those are relics of the MMORPG genre as a whole, but at least my experience in GenU with the casual degree of bring some low rank hunter along on a hunt knowing that as long as they don't trip you or use up your carts (limited group revives) then just their presence isn't going to make the hunt harder because the boss has flat HP no matter how many people you have; so it instilled this much more casual, hunters helping hunters, kinda mentality that I honestly missed coming from Warframe.
Other than that, the graphics look phenomenal coming from GenU (almost World level of impressive) and I'm excited to see how they improve on the formula, but I just hope that their desire to improve doesn't shave them away from what attracted me to and kept me playing the series already.
