Hi there! I put some community forums together so that we could all get some discussion going about games, hobbies, and other interests. Save your Starting Plat

One of the biggest overlooked hinderences for Warframe is the Warframe and Weapon slots. When you start the game you're given 50 plat from DE to spend on whatever you want. There is no way to get these slots without spending plat so FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, save your starting plat for Warframe/Weapon slots.
Warframe slots cost 20 plat per 1
Weapon slots cost 12 plat per 2

These 50 units of Platinum you are given at the start cannot be traded with other players.

Yeah, I think a lot of players get caught in the "rush blueprints" trap with their first plat unless they're lucky enough to have someone tell them early on not to.
There's also the temptation for market spending (skins and stuff) but in my experience lots of players tend to go for rushing, since so many other games usually have a "please spend this bit of free premium currency" as a part of their tutorials, and Warframe doesn't.

Top tip: Spend all of your starter platinum on buying forma so you can build room connectors in your dojo!

Actually, that is not a top tip and I'd definitely not recommend you do this.... like... nah, that's stupid.. I'd never do that...
So yeah, follow the Goat's advice and spend it on slots (not the slot machines, but the actual warframe and weapon slots)
